Cambodia’s past history and the impact of many years of civil war had a devastating effect on the whole country and the health care system was no exception.
As a health care professional from developed world, you can share your immense knowledge and valuable experience with rural health care professionals in Cambodia, where community health care facilities remain basic, capacity still needs building and technology remain out of reach.
The project Volunteers For Health (VFH), will connect volunteers from the UK and internationally to work with health professionals in Cambodia. VFH works in partnership with the provincial health department in Cambodia where the project is operational. This is a unique opportunity for all health professionals to gain and experience of a life and having the opportunity to see this magnificent country.
Our overall aim is to facilitate and channel your skills and knowledge to the provinces of Cambodia where it is most needed, through a short working holiday of 2 weeks to 3 months.
You will also have the opportunity to initiate and develop health care projects in partnership with local colleagues in the hospital or the community setting.
